Shetland sent one junior to the recent highland and islands regionals Josie Wishart (12) finished 5th in Division 5 which was the equivalent of 35th in the Inverness region with most players older than him up to 18 years of age.

After been seeded 8th in division 5 he had to play seed one first. The combination of playing the high seed first off on, new courts to which his opponent was used too made it too difficult for Josie as he struggled to take the lead in either game losing 11-6, 11-7, 11-7.

Josie also struggled in the next game losing 11-4 to younger opponent Alistair Prodd but after readjusting his drives was able to turn it around to win the match 11/6, 11/6, 11/4. From this point Josie did not look back and won his remaining match against James Alexander 11-8, 11-7, 11-6 to finish strong with a good performance.
