Joan Smith was selected to play in the home internationals at Cardiff at the weekend. After an epic 2 day journey she reached the venue just in time to be told she was next on court. The Scottish team were already 4-0 up against Ireland when she arrived. Despite the lack of preparation she convincingly beat Ireland’s Dee Hourihane 9-2, 9-0, 9-0.

The Shetland Squash Leagues saw 132 matches played over February and March. February saw tough competition as Graeme Davie, Andy Bilton and Jonathan Hawick were all just one point behind the months top scorer Peter Tait with 21 points. Jonathan was the most consistant over this period with 20 points again in March. Gary Tulloch also equaled this score but it was not enough to catch Nic Boxall who top scored in March with 22 points. The prizes for the league wil be given out on Saturday 24th April 2010.
